Safeguarding

From our 2-year-olds in our Nursery to our 16-year-olds in Form 11 we put pastoral care at the very heart of our school with an approach that involves all staff.

St. Edmund’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment which can be viewed in the School Information and Policies section of our website. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a pupil's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are first discussed with parents or guardians, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the pupil's welfare. We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.

CEOP

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command, or CEOP Command, is a command of the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) and is tasked to work both nationally and internationally to bring online child sex offenders, including those involved in the production, distribution and viewing of child abuse material, to the UK courts. If you are concerned in any way that you are (or your child is) the subject of online sexual abuse or grooming then the link below will connect you directly through to CEOP.
